Use in Perfumery: Used as a fixative and also for its appealing sweet light herby woody amber warmth. The absolute is much warmer than the oil. Classically included in Chypre, Fougere, Oriental and herbal compositions for its distinctive notes. Can be used in small doses in almost every type of blend.

Origin: France.
Use in Perfumery: A fresh top note useful with heavy florals and Oriental type blends. Quite intense fresh pepper spicy woody floral with green herb character. Brings freshness and intrigue.

Comment: Use in moderation. Like some of the spices they bring their best when below the threshold of conscious detection.

Use in Perfumery: More interesting than the oil. Fresh warm green slightly basil like with hints of spice. Imparts quality herbal notes without the usually accompanying camphor. Blends beautifully with citrus, spice and wood.

Comment: Use of laurel leaf oil is voluntarily restricted by some fragrance houses. The absolute is preferable.
